Veterinary Inventory Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Assistant to the Inventory Manager - Receive and process shipments, verifying accuracy of incoming and outgoing medications and supplies - Collaborate with vendors, sales representatives, veterinarians and staff - Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including stock adjustments and cycle counts (Cubex) - Monitor inventory levels and generate reports to identify potential medication/stock shortages or excesses - Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner - Maintaining inventory/materials for oxygen, equipment, furniture or other ordering; overseeing tasks - Assist in order fulfillment processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency - Produce weekly and end-of-month reports for management team
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus - Previous experience in customer service, inventory control, shipping/receiving, or related field preferred - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records - Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Cubex) - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment Please note that this job description provides a general overview of the responsibilities and qualifications required for the role of Inventory Assistant.
