Job Details This is a union environment and candidates will need to be able to work 12am-8am and 2pm-12am shift.
This position starts at $41.
49/hr (for Class 3 +$2 OR Class 4 +$4).
Position overview Are you interested in learning more about Manufacturing in the world leading industrial coating resins company? We are looking for a knowledgeable Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Operator to join our team.
You will be monitoring and controlling WWTP Plant to support production and meet state and federal operating and reporting guidelines - directly responsible for the efficient operation of the shift.
If you have an understanding of regulations and other legal requirements, then we are waiting for your application.
Responsibilities Operate and monitor all phases of operation of the equipment Perform all duties including sampling, testing, reporting, computer monitoring, and inputting operational data required maintaining compliance with permits and regulations Adjust process variables based on laboratory test results, instrument reading and observations.
Remove all collected solids from treatment plant basins Perform WWTP Laboratory Technician duties in conjunction with or in absence of the WWTP Laboratory Technician Provide communications and coordination with appropriate Department and Plant personnel as necessary to assure safe and efficient operations Adhere to all environmental practices, standards, rules, procedures and requirements.
As trained, handle hazardous waste in accordance with department procedures and regulatory requirements Required skills and experience Waste Water concentration calculation, daily usage and gallons conversion using basic mathematics Mechanical aptitude preferred Advanced mathematics preferred Basic chemistry and biology preferred Qualifications High School Diploma required.
Class 2 Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator license required.
