Events Manager

The Events Manager is responsible for maintenance and support of the food bank's community outreach and ongoing fundraising efforts, including signature food bank events, third party events, cause marketing campaigns, and virtual food drivesThis individual will manage and oversee events including the Walk against Hunger, Taste of Gratitude, Thanksgiving events, and all Community eventsThis position reports to the Chief Giving Officer and provides support to the Director of Corporate and Community Giving, as well as other food bank staff as requiredGeneral
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
Acts as lead contact on all annual food bank events, and virtual food drivesManages and executes logistics for food bank events for external stakeholders, including donorsOrganizes and manages additional fundraising and promotional events, cause marketing, and third-party eventsRepresents Connecticut Foodshare as a polished spokesperson during promotional and educational eventsManages timelines, logistics, signage, and SWAG in partnership with the Marketing and Communications team including messaging for campaigns (including Feeding America and local campaigns) with the goal of increasing revenue raised and public awarenessProvides budgeting and reporting on events, cause marketing campaigns, third party events, and virtual food drivesLiaises with Volunteer Team to run and staff events and supervise tabling opportunitiesWorks with Operations Department to coordinate and track food drive pickups and deliveriesWorks cooperatively with Feeding America and other Feeding America foodbanks on regional or national fundraising effortsSupports ongoing work of the Giving team, and promotional needs of other staff membersSupports food bank's mission through education and involving the publicOther duties as assignedPI227549038 Recommended Skills Communication Critical Thinking Customer Relationship Management Finance Financial Management Fundraising Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
