Assistant Registrar

The Assistant Registrar supports the Registrar's office by maintaining the School's academic records, assisting with academic scheduling, creating and maintaining academic courses/sections, assisting with graduation, on-boarding new students, and tracking diploma requirements.
This role is also responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the office by providing excellent customer service, processing transcript requests, replacement diploma requests, correspondence with students, faculty, families, and other offices on campus.
This role is a full-time, year-round position that is eligible for paid time off and benefits.
Responsibilities Process transcript requests and status changes for current students and alumni Ensure receipt of official transcripts for incoming students and proof transcripts at the end of each grading period Maintain updated and accurate student records information with NCAA Clearinghouse Leads the production and design of new student registration materials Coordinates with colleagues in Communications and IT to test and maintain new student registration documents and Student/Family Portals Creates and manages the new student placement test materials Tracks incoming student placement information.
Assists new students and families with questions/concerns around academic planning Reviews all previous school transcripts and assists in entering previous school requirements Collaborates with academic department heads to determine diploma requirement eligibility & communicating with other institutions to gather syllabi and course descriptions Assists in maintaining the graduation database and preparing graduation materials, including preparing diplomas and certificates Maintain department office supplies Associate degree Experience a secondary school or higher education preferred Experience with Canvas Experience with Docfinity Advanced knowledge and skill with:
MS Excel, Crystal Reports, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Visual Cut Knowledge with course management and/or scheduling systems preferred Knowledge of data management systems and/or experience with PowerCampus or PowerSchool/PowerScheduler Recommended Skills Adobe Acrobat Communication Crystal Reports (Reporting Software) Customer Service Databases Microsoft Excel Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
