Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
Mid-Senior Quality Engineer9 month Contract (til end of the year)Hybrid - Wallingford, CT (M,T,Th)One of our Healthcare Clients is seeking a QE resource to help support their Utilization Review efforts within their care team.
Along with the requirements below, the ideal candidate has 4-7
years of experience in the field.
Onshore testing contractor will work as one of the assigned SIT team members in the scrum team - so to the assigned JIRA stories they will be performing same activities that any SIT team member is supposed to do - involvement in grooming asking right questions to better understand the requirements and testing scope involvement in impact analysis with Dev on the implementation so regression scope is clear story pointing Test scenarios and test data preparation Test scenarios peer review and review with scrum team Test script preparation - Automation Test execution Defect management SME/UAT defect triages Any demo request or business presentation request as those comes.
Triage and replicate production issues reported on functionalities delivered.
Additionally, considering the onshore time zone availability, this contractor should have high level understanding of all stories that scrum team works regardless of the assignment.
Need to support with any of the below coming up after offshore hours:
Take up any urgent or high priority task comes up on any of the stories that this team worked on Gather details on Ad-hoc changes or questions coming up on any of the stories that this team worked on Participate engagingly in any clarification call or business call that is scheduled and pass on the details to the assigned team member next day Help the team with any major issues or escalations if need support from more onshore individuals, be a partner to our team - not specific to scrum team but at application level Keep working on the process guidelines followed in scrum teams and overall projects across releases etc.
Support the release SIT lead which rotates in roll once four months for major production releases - during lower environment testing issues and business checkout call Soft skillsCollaboration - Regardless of belonging to one scrum or the other.
Open minded who fit in any work environment and continue maintaining good and sincere relationships with team members (onshore/offshore).
Stretch goals:
Contribute to our automation suite and bring in ideas how we can optimize testing and bring more efficiencies.
Contribute to our process guidelines which can add efficiency and productivity and reduce any under-utilized time.
Bring in ideas for application functionalities that could add value to business and bring cost efficiency for them.
Enthusiasm to learn new technology along with us if given the opportunity.
